Firstly, thank you for paying us a visit!  This website is all about showing how anyone can generate wealth that at the moment, most of us can only dream of.  We’re not talking about rainy-day funds, this website is dedicated to showing how to set out on a journey to wealth in the millions and hundreds of millions with the eventual goal of making $1billion.

We are showing how to do this by saving as little as £50 a month and whilst we realise this may sound ridiculous, it’s more than possible.  Once you have followed our journey so far through our posts and have a basic understanding of what investing is, we believe you will see that unimaginable wealth is achievable.  At that point we expect you’ll decide to start on your own journey to $1billion, why would you not?!

A word of warning though, this is not the sexiest website in the world!  In fact, it’s rather boring as let’s face it, learning about money and investing is not the most exciting topic.  However, we believe this is a small price to pay to become ridiculously rich which will be anything but boring we can assure you!

We don’t believe there is anything stopping you and your family from becoming wealthy beyond your wildest dreams.  No one can do this for you, only you can do it, but we are more than happy to be your guide on the journey to $1billion.

Our Mission

Our mission is to show that anyone can have a brighter financial future if they have a plan and commit to executing it.  We’ll show that if we make the short-term sacrifices needed and resist the temptations that will try to knock us off course, then becoming wealthy is a question of being patient.

We’re going show how to create unimaginable wealth by investing in the stock market.  Through our monthly blog, we’ll take readers with us on our journey to a bright financial future and will show that when investing is done over a long-term horizon, it might not be as risky as people think.  We’ll also show that investing is not complicated, it’s just a language that you need to learn and once you’ve learnt that language, there’s no reason you and your family can’t create incredible wealth too.

Investing is about patience.  Its power to make us extremely wealthy can only be harnessed over decades and so that means the word “family” takes on an extremely important role.  If we educate ourselves about investing then we can pass this knowledge on to our family, as well as a financial legacy, so that they can continue to build wealth across generations.

The Crazy Plan

To show the real power of investing over long periods of time, we’ve decided to set ourselves the goal of making $1billion.  Our blog will follow two plans that both aim to make $1billion: one that saves £50 a month for 10 years (the Monthly Plan); and another that starts with a £10,000 lump sum investment (the Lumpsum Plan).  The journey is going to take somewhere between 80 – 120 years and so that’s why family takes on such an important role as one generation is highly unlikely to do this.

Most people laugh when we tell them our plan  We’re either told we’re crazy to even think we can turn £50 a month into $1billion or why bother if it’s going to take 80 – 120 years?!

We’ll show that it doesn’t really matter how small you start, the most important thing is that you start.  If we never start on the journey to a brighter financial future then we’ll remain stuck where we are, forever trapped.  It’s only us who can change our future, no one else, and so we have a choice: choose to create a brighter financial future; or choose to remain where we are.

Who is the blog for?

Whether you’re completely new to investing and have no idea what the stock market is, or are already an experienced investor, this blog will show what we believe it takes to become wealthy.  Our journey will start by laying the foundations of what investing is and will then build over time to discuss more advanced concepts and strategies.

It doesn’t matter if you’re young or old, it’s never too late to think about your financial future.  If you’re young then you have time on your side and can create a wonderful financial future beyond most people’s dreams.  If you’re slightly older then you have experience on your side, good or bad, and can use this to create not only a better future for yourself but to educate your family about the benefits of having a financial plan.

We also hope to inspire anyone that has a dream.  Our plan might sound crazy but we know it’s achievable and we hope by following us on our journey, readers will be inspired to follow their own dreams.

Our Experience

Our writer and Editor obtained a degree in engineering and then moved into the City of London where he qualified as a chartered accountant before moving into investment banking.  In 2010 he set out on his own journey, running his own stock portfolio.  During this time, he’s been through the ups and downs of investing including Brexit, Taper Tantrums, Covid and the Inflation Bubble.  Investing is now the sole source of income for his family and over the years he has come to see the unbelievable power that investing has to create great wealth over long periods of time.
