Welcome to The Crazy Plan where our mission is to show that anyone can create unimaginable wealth.

Each month, we publish a blog providing readers with the financial education needed to set out on their own journey to a bright financial future. We do this by following two plans, our Monthly Plan saves £50 a month for 10 years and our Lumpsum Plan starts with a one-off £10,000. Our aim is to turn each plan into $1 billion in one or two generations.

At first, making $1 billion seems crazy but once you realise it’s a journey then things change. We’ll save our first £50 and from there our wealth will build to $1,000, then $5,000, then $10,000 and then $50,000. One day, if we’re patient, we’ll have $100,000 and then we’ll be looking at $1 million. From there it will be onwards to our $1 billion goal. This journey of small steps is how what seems impossible becomes possible.

You can dig-in to our posts however you like or if you are completely new to investing, you may want to start with “1.0 Liftoff!” and go through them in order which is how we build the education. We hope to provide you with the knowledge needed to set out on your own journey to a bright financial future if you choose. POST NUMBER ONE

Welcome to our first ever post, we’re pleased you have found us! So, what is this website all about? Well, we are going to make our family billionaires! You could call this a dream if you like but we stopped dreaming a while ago and have come up with a plan to make it happen.

Each month, we are going to share with you our progress and guide you through our journey to becoming billionaires. We hope that you develop a deep understanding of what it takes to become wealthy, seriously wealthy, so that you may be inspired to start on your own journey. So, let’s get started, what exactly is this plan we have?

THE CRAZY PLAN

We’re going to save and invest £50 a month for 10 years. At the end of 10 years, we’ll stop saving but will carry on investing until we have $1billion. We’re also going to have a look down the back of the sofa and see what happens if we find a £10,000 lump sum to invest. If you think we are crazy then we agree, we must be crazy as we’re going to show you exactly how we do it!

BILLIONAIRE

So, what comes to mind when you hear the word billionaire? Super yachts; amazing cars like Ferrari and Rolls Royce; incredible holidays on private islands in the Maldives and the Caribbean, sensational food at Michelin star restaurants around the world, properties from Swiss ski chalets to Bahamas bolt-holes; first class travel, private jets and helicopters; cooks, cleaners, nannies, housekeepers and personal assistants; donations to your favourite charities; private education; the best private healthcare; and of course, not having to work!

We have all these thoughts but we also have another, much stronger thought, and that is “how can we become billionaires?” If you occasionally have this thought, we expect you don’t take it much further as it seems a crazy idea and so you don’t even start to think about what it would take to make it happen. Well, we have given it a lot of thought and have found a way to do it and because we’re crazy, we’re going to share our journey with you.

DREAMS

In life, there is no point dreaming of something and expecting it to happen. To make a dream come true, you need a plan that has clear goals and tasks that you must execute. As you tick off each task and slowly deliver the goals, you will step by step move towards making your dream a reality.

We believe that making your family billionaires is no different, in fact, we think it’s one of the easiest possible dreams to achieve! We have put a plan together and sure, there will be obstacles that we’ll come across, but as long as we stick to our plan we will achieve our dream. There is one big thing that we’ll need to resist though, one thing so important it will kill our dream.

TEMPTATION

Imagine in a few years’ time we have turned our savings into a rather respectable $100,000. Can you imagine the temptation to buy a new car? Go on an incredible holiday? Buy some bling?! The irony is that we would only be in the position of having $100,000 if we resisted temptation for all those years we worked so hard to make it. If we go and blow our £50 per month or find that there isn’t £10,000 down the back of the sofa, then there will never be $100,000. If there is never $100,000, then guess what, there will never be $1million and if there is never $1million, there will never be $1billion.

You see it really is that simple, if we invest for the future and resist the temptation to spend, one day we will be billionaires. In fact, you could start with just £10 a month and no, we are not mad as well as crazy!

THE PLAN

Today, everyone thinks short term, it’s all about that instant fix whether its social media or scam money schemes. We are surrounded by influencers telling us we can be rich and have their lifestyle by Friday and get-rich-quick schemes where we know absolutely no one who has actually done it in reality!

The truth is, there is no short-cut to becoming very, very wealthy, it takes time, a long time. Therefore, with our £50 a month or £10,000 lump sum, we’re going to think very differently to most people and we encourage you to think the same way too. We are going to think decades into the future, not days or weeks.

So, what exactly are we going to invest in? Well, we are going to invest in the stock market. The reason for this is that we think this will give us the highest certainty of achieving our dream of making $1billion. We know what you’re thinking: the stock market is risky; its gambling; and these guys really are crazy! However, over the coming months and years we’ll show you why perhaps the stock market is not as risky as you might think and hopefully, why we’re not as crazy as we sound.

FAMILY

There is one other thing that is really important as well as resisting temptation, we need to think about family. One generation is highly unlikely to achieve the dream as it’s going to take somewhere around 80 to 120 years to make $1billion. Now you really do think we’re crazy right?! We’re not doing this for ourselves, we’re doing this for our family and future generations, we’re going to set them up beyond their wildest dreams.

As soon as we commit our money to this plan we need to think “it’s not our money, it’s family money.” If we always remind ourselves of this, that it’s family money, it might help us to resist the whole temptation thing.

If you are young and reading this and don’t have a family of your own yet, that doesn’t matter, you can still start. In fact, if you are young, that’s the perfect time to start as did we tell you? This is going to take a long time! You never know, one day you may have a family of your own and trust us, even if you don’t, you’ll be pleased you started planning a better financial future early on.

If the timescale has completely switched you off then we totally understand, 80 years is a long time and let’s not talk about 120 years! If this is the case then we suggest you don’t follow us but please do one thing. Please get your family to check in here every few years to see how we’re doing and when we start to have some serious money like $100,000, $1million, $5million, $10million and more, good luck telling your family why it’s us that are getting seriously wealthy and not them.

Remember, things don’t just happen on their own, they happen because we plan and execute that plan. Anyone can do this, anyone, but only those who have patience and think long term will achieve their dream. Actually, that’s not enough, you need to start too!
